Sneak Peek

CN Video put out a few preview videos of Underfist. Here's one of them. The other two I would consider "minorly spoilerish", so if you care about that sort of thing you shouldn't go poking around for them.

Whatever limiter Warner Brothers (or someone) runs our stuff through ends up washing out the yellows, which was a problem for years with Mandy's hair. Never did figure it out. Good to see the tradition is still alive...

whoa, thats an awesome Fred Face. Not gonna watch the sneak-peaks, 'cause I'm not into seeing bits of things before I see the whole thing ('cept for trailers) but I'm glad CN is finally promoting Underfist and that the people who want to see more get to. I'll be tuning in on the 12th.

Will Phil LaMarr be appearing in this special? Also, Diedrich Bader is the man.

Please send this to someone related to "Camp Lazlo" at Cartoon Network (Not the creator, but someone of the crew at Cartoon Network): www.freewebs.com/savecamplazlo, believe me that a lot of People are trying to "save" Camp Lazlo, but fans like me and others are trying even the "impossible", don't answer with "bad news" cause that's exactly what we are against for.

I couldn't help but watch all those videos! i've got the songs stuck in my head now...TRICK-or-TREATER...eater...GAH...i don't want to GROW-UP, either!

(you voice Jeff the Spider, right?) XD

I have to say that seeing the variety of vibrant colours used in THE UNDERFIST was a pleasant surprise! The animation is UNBELIEVABLY GORGEOUS. It was all EYE-CANDY for me. SERIOUSLY.

I see what you said about UNDERFIST being "different" from the Grim Adventures series. I still can't wait for the premiere!

I won't shut up about it until it shows on CN! I'm still telling as many people as i can find...you have my word. ^^

I may miss the premiere but i'm sure they'll repeat it millions of times after it.I saw those sneek peeks and my only concern is Fred fred burger. Why is he shaped like a peanut and why isn't he fat?

Will Jack O'Lantern make a cameo? He has a lot of fans wanting him back!

Do I hate my job? Well, I'm not really Jeff the Spider, you know. Jeff the Spider actually HAS a job. I still do his voice though. All the same voices have carried over from the series to the spinoff, including Diedrich and Phil.

It's funny because I watched "The Crawling Niceness" for the first time in years when we were putting together the Season 1 DVD and I noticed that Jeff's voice had changed too. Can't really tell you why. Just vocal evolution, I guess.

Jack O'Lantern made a brief cameo in the storyboard, but didn't make it to film. I think there's a mysterious scarecrow that looks like him somewhere in the background, but my hope is that you'll like the new villains just as much.

I remembered later that you mentioned Dracula's appearance. I'm a failure.

I didn't think crawling niceness made it to the DVD. Weird.

If we aren't going to be able to see Jack O'Lantern in the film, could you at least tell us what he was supposed to be doing in the cameo appearance? <3

Knowing that would be better than not knowing anything at all! YEAH, alot of people really do MISS him! I'm one of them...

Jeff the Spider went through PUBERTY! I mean, he WAS "growing up", right? *__*

So if you do his "talking" voice, do you do his "singing" voice, too?

I'm definitley going to be searching for that scarecrow...

I watched the video you linked, but not the other ones. It looks great! Only about a week more of a wait, too! I'm excited. :)

And, am I hearing things, or was that Richard Horvitz as the talking Halloween tombstones that were scaring Irwin?

Thanks!

Hey that looks awesome, but why does Fred Fredburger have a new design?

9:10 AM
Blogger Maxwell Atoms said...

Fred did get redesigned, but so did everything and everyone else. I wanted Underfist to have a slightly different look and feel from Billy and Mandy. After you draw anything a few hundred times you find a shorthand or just something you think feels better while you're drawing it.

Like I said about Jack O'Lantern, I think there's just a scarecrow that looks like him in a background, but I can't remember for sure.

And, yeah, that really is me and C.H. Greenblatt singing a duet. Maybe I'll stick to my day job...

I think you'll find Underfist full of surprises!

We recorded commentary for the Season 2 DVD when we did Season 1. I think that's where The Crawling Niceness was. (That doesn't mean Season 2 will ever be released. Just that we recorded it.)

¿Can someone answer to my question about: www.freewebs.com/savecamplazlo

"¡Please don't answer me giving me "bad news" at least try sending the adress, this is a proof that audience love that show¡ (I'm curious about Underfist too)thanks

Maxwell, why is it that you (or whoever) are having a hard time releasing the Billy and Mandy dvd's? I'm sure it was a successful show. So what's the drawback? I'm quite saddened by that. Sure I'm in my 20's but I truly did enjoy your shows and would love nothing more to have all the seasons in my dvd collection.

how do you get friends on Bloger? Help me!

5:58 AM
Blogger Maxwell Atoms said...

Well, I don't have anything whatsoever to do with DVD releases. That's up to Cartoon Network, so you'll have to write to them if you ever want to see it. As a good friend of mine once said; "Cartoon Network hates money".

As for Lazlo... I don't work at Cartoon Network anymore and the people left behind are too worried about their own shows and jobs to give much thought to Lazlo. I think Joe did all the fighting for it he could. And they just won another Emmy, so if that doesn't change things nothing will.

Basically, CN is trying to reinvent itself, which means that everything more than a year or two old has (or will soon) be having a meeting with Grim. If you get my drift. In other words: "Sorry, bad news".

9:19 AM
Blogger Kieran Pertnav said...

well, at least that makes room for Flapjack and Chowder. and it means Grim finally gets to do his job, but it is kinda weird how big CNs canceling spree is. but at least that means out of jimmy's head is cancelled. I'm glad Billy and Mandy got its full run and some movies.

Thankyou for taking the time to answer my annoying questions! It means alot to me, I really appreciate it!

If I may ask, what projects do you plan on working on next? where? If you don't work at Cartoon Network anymore?

(if you don't want to say, i'll understand!) ^^

"The Grim Adventures" series has come a long way since it first started!

especially with "Evil con Carne"!

you have your whole future ahead of you! i wish for nothing but the BEST!

as i've said before, "THE UNDERFIST" looks quite promising!

ALOT of people are EXCITED about the premiere!

the 12th is almost here! :)

Man, Fred lost weight. I guess he must have finally kicked his nacho habit.

It's a shame that great shows like Billy and Mand, Lazlo, and Foster's aren't on as much and are being replaced by Clone Wars: Attack of the Redundancy.

Anyway I'll be eagerly anticipating any form of Underfist sequel even if it is drawn with crayons by Billy.
