One week 'til Comicon!

It's back again. And, yes, I'll be there. I mean, assuming that the people setting this mess up for CN actually call me and confirm whether or not I've got somewhere to stay...

I'll be doing a signing at the CN booth at 11:30 on Saturday, so find me there and tell me you like my hair. I don't really care about Billy & Mandy or Underfist. This year's all about the hair.

There's a panel on Sunday before noon for Chowder and Flapjack. Smack in the middle is a "sneak preview" of Underfist. I don't know how long I've got in the panel yet so I can't say exactly what you'll be seeing. My hope is to give you a taste of what the Underfist experience is, and it's very different from Billy & Mandy.

I know someone, if there's time, will ask what I'm doing next, and I'll tell you now what I'll say to anyone that asks. I'm doing the best work of my life right now and I mean to somehow get it in front of you guys in a year's time. This has been a sobering few years for me, and it's forced me to really take stock of what I want out of life and decide where I need to put my energies to get it. My hope is that you'll be pleased with Underfist. It's the first step in a new direction for me, and I'm already well on that path.

Here's a peek at "The Underfist That Never Was". I was pitching it as a series while we were making the special, and at the end of each board section I'd tag on a page or two of extra goodies to supplement the bible. This is a page of villains. You might recognize a few...

Wow, glad things are going well for you at the moment!
I wish I could go to a Con some time, but I don't think they have many over here in the UK.

Wil attendees get to "smell the Hair that made the Underfist" too?

It is a shame you won't be at comi con on Friday. I would love to come visit your booth and shake your hand and maybe talk about Underfist and recurring characters from The Grim Adventures. You should help me get some free Saturday tickets just so I can do that. But what are the chances of an anonymous internet blogger scoring tickets from Maxwell Atoms? Probably none so I just hope you have fun talking to all your other fans. Keep making cartoons and I will keep watching Cartoon Network.

@ Ananymous:

Nice name. Original. I kid. Even if I knew who you were, as you may have inferred from my post even I can't even get MY stuff from CN, so good luck to me getting anyone else in.

@ Jim Morensen:

Uh... I'll be sure to use my good hair cologne. I guess I started this...

@ Green Stick:

Oh, I'm far from through with you. Before I'm done... you'll all pay!

I cried last year for not being able to make it to the last Billy and Mandy panel.

I shed tears of Joy now that I still have a chance of meeting you and seeing that preview of UNDERFIST.

Can you do autograph signing with your hair?

You'll actually be the second person I've EVER asked to sign anything (I don't even know how this works, really...). The first one was Voltaire but only because a little girl gave me orders to make a sign and demand Voltaire to have his picture taken while holding that sign and then he magically signed that sign which I promptly mailed back to the girl.

k I'll stop trailing off. See ya Sunday!

Holy jeez, I LOVE these designs. Just reading these descriptions it makes me wish that this came to be! Naughty/Nice Eris would've been such a great step in character development or something like that.

Is Naughty Eris vs. Nice Eris kind of like the Maxwell Atoms vs. Adam Burton thing?

One of these guys gets a small cameo in the special. Eris isn't in it though. Not directly, anyway. I wrote an outline for a "sequel" that heavily features Eris. And dinosaurs, believe it or not. We'll see if CN wants to do it after Halloween comes.

...Nice hair.

Will "Naughty" Eris wear the Goth outfit from the game?

Aaaaannnyways...

Malefactor's cyborg arm looks backwards. Will these be all of the villains or just the cream of the crop?

...I'm definitely gonna like Naughty Eris. I can tell. And Boogersnatch- because every good cartoon needs a squid demon.

Anyways, I really wish I could be at Comic Con. But sadly, it turns out that flights from Texas to San Diego or New York are very expensive.

Just want to thank you for signing Fred Fredburger for me at Comic Con, and previewing your latest great creation Underfist. I also want to thank you for your honest enthusiam, which keeps us coming back to say hello each year. I think CN made a big blunder by having you sign at the same time as the Ben 10 (Teen Titans light) panel. I also think CN missed a big opportunity by not having you go up first at the combo panel as everyone`s fav star "vet" who is introducing the "newbies". (Who would have guessed that Flapjack is really an autobiography) In additon, CN should have shown a related GAOBM lead in to the UF preview, so as to build the impact as their next big hit. (Everyone knows it isn`t really about the hair.) Please keep up the wonderful work you do, and know that we appreciate it.

That actually wasn't Lord Malefactor, but I won't defend the arm.

I'm actually more annoyed that I misspelled Nepthys.

Whoops, didn't see the "?" above the text.

I'm curious, have you seen "Xombie," the flash series? There's a Nepthys in it. I think you'd like the series.
