The First 20 Minutes of Madness

I'm all over the place this month.

First I'll be doing the Billy & Mandy panel at WonderCon, where the six or seven lucky people who attend will be able to see the first 20 minutes or so of "Billy and Mandy's Big Boogey Adventure" and then talk about crud.

Late next month I'll be in New York working with Mr. Warburton on the dreaded "Grim Adventures of the KND" crossover. So you NY people hook me up with some fun places to go. That's an order.

The Boogey Man is the primary antagonist in the movie. For a while I was calling this our "Wrath of Khan" movie because Boogey (like Khan) was a villain who only appeared in one episode of the series, and here he is making a big comeback.

Last we left Boogey, he'd failed to cheat Grim out of his job and was left stuck in the nostril of a monster in the Nightmare Realm. How he got out we'll never know, but this time Boogey's got a whole crew of monster pirates and underworld creatures to back him up. He's also got a really stylish pirate hat.

Boogey is voiced again by the lovely and talented Fred Willard, who did such a great job that I'm sad we didn't get to use him more. Boogey does show up once more after "Big Boogey", but you'll have to wait a while for that one...

The Wondercon panel is Saturday, March 3rd from 3:00-4:00 in room 200. See you there!

I'm really excited for this movie. And Fred Willard is awesome, so it's good to see him returning to do the voice. I would like to go to WonderCon, but unfortunately I can't. Gotta say though, I'm not too excited about the crossover. The series are just way too different for me, and I really don't like KND much at all anyway. I know I'll end up watching out of curiosity though.

I hope this airs during the day, before 3pm. On the weekend.

From what I saw in the game, it appears that Boogey can't scare a mouse w/o Horror's Hand...

ahhh. to work with Fred Willard. I fell in love with the man in Spinal Tap and the love grows deeper all the time. I wish I could be one of the 20. Good luck with all.

Wow, I can't believe I found your blog! I looooove Billy and Mandy, it's my favorite cartoon, and I watch LOTS of cartoons. I mean it. Hopefully I'll get to see this movie, but I guess I'll have to wait a while, since I live across the globe. I'm still trying to catch up with the last season. Hey, the other day I saw Milkshakes in an episode of Happy Tree Friends...

Looking forward to your panel. Hopefully I'll be able to drag along a few of my friends, so I don't look too pathetic sitting there in my pink dress and black headband. :P

Great stuff at Wondercon, Mr. Atoms. I got two autographs, a drawing of Mandy, a picture taken with you, and I think I managed not to act all starstruck and idiot-like.

The movie looks great so far and I look forward to the rest of it!

...And how freaking CUTE were those little kids asking questions... Especially the little girl who went on about how much she loved Fred Fredburger.

Thanks for being an awesome dude and I hope to see you again some time.

P.S. Awesome Mandy costume, to the girl who posted up a little bit.

i love the character design of the boogeyman..theres somthing special about him that makes him stand out from most of the other villains in the show..but one thing about the show that i've noticed is that all the characters are unique and stand out....so...i guess what i said doesnt really matter..sorry!
