Fish Hooks 4-Eva!

Hey y'alls. I'm working on getting this blog sorted out. Every day I get dozens of comments and I can't possibly respond to them all. Of course, they're not from you. They're all ads for Bingo and Chinese hair creme and pharmaceuticals. But I'll deal with that later.

Today is all about Fish Hooks! The show doesn't premiere officially until the end of the month, but tonight there's a sneak preview of the show on Disney Channel after the conclusion of Camp Rock II. Somewhere between 9:30 and 10, I'm guessing.

So come check out what Noah Z. Jones, Bill Reiss, C.H. Greenblatt, yours truly, and a whole bunch of other awesome folks have been working on for the past year! It's like nothing else on Disney Channel, but I think you'll find that it fits right in. Hope you like it!

How did so many Cartoon Network veterans get involved on the show? I'm half expecting Craig McCracken and Mr. Warburton to show up at some point.

I didn't fall in love with the preview episode. It wasn't bad, but with so many big names working on it, I expected it to be something truly groundbreaking. But it seems like standard Disney Channel fare, with more of a focus on tween and teen audiences. School settings have become so... mundane to me.

Granted, it seems like it will get more off-the-wall in future episodes. Some of the previews showed giant lobsters and other weird things, which always makes things more fun.

That sounds really neat. Don't have Disney Channel anymore, though, and I don't doubt they'll wait at least half a year before even considering putting it on in Europe anyway. (Not to mention that they need to dub it... >_>)

while i still mourn the loss of "the grim adventures of billy and mandy", i was definitely not disappointed by the "fish hooks" preview. can't wait to see some more. glad that you and c.h. greenblatt are back in action together!

side story: i drew a picture of mandy and took it to an Old 97's show so that, at least, i could get grey's husband murry to sign it. and he did! woo!

I remember greenblatt mentioning it on his blog some time ago.

I saw an ad for it the other day while I was chomping down on some chaat-puri and going :O

While it isn't the greatest thing ever, I liked Fish Hooks. There were quite a few moments where I laughed out loud, like the Grow-Dino & Bea and Milo's fins becoming human hands. I'll be sure to catch the premiere. This series can't go anywhere but up.

Awesome job on the show. I'm glad to see your name on the TV again. The animation was really cool and the facial expressions were right on. I'll be watchin' more.

@ Joshua:

You can stop HALF expecting. Mr. Warburton is on full time now, and while he's not on Fish Hooks, Craig has been wandering the halls of late. Kudos to Disney for plucking all of the talented babies out of CN's bathwater.
